In our previous report earlier today, we noted that you can now obtain iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus at a slightly lower price at several Apple Authorised Resellers (AARs) throughout the country. The same also applies to the brand’s high-end models, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
In fact, the amount of money that you would save is identical as well which is between RM250 to RM300. Unlike the lower-end models though, the AARs were a bit more divided when it comes to choosing the price cut that they would offer to iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max customers.
Before we move further, let’s start with the official retail price as listed by Apple Malaysia’s online store which remained the same just like when they rolled out in Malaysia last September:
iPhone 14 Pro: RM5,299 (128GB) / RM5,799 (256GB) / RM6,799 (512GB) / RM 7,799 (1TB)
iPhone 14 Pro Max: RM5,799 (128GB) / RM6,299 (256GB) / RM7,299 (512GB) / RM8,299 (1TB)
Out of the nine AARs that we surveyed, four of them including Machines, iStore (C-Zone), Thunder (TMT), and Harvey Norman have chosen to slash RM250 off the usual retail price. So, this is what their pricing looked like:
iPhone 14 Pro: RM5,049 (128GB) / RM5,549 (256GB) / RM6,549 (512GB) / RM7,549 (1TB)
iPhone 14 Pro Max: RM5,549 (128GB) / RM6,049 (256GB) / RM7,049 (512GB) / RM8,049 (1TB)
On the other hand, All IT decided to go slightly extra and cut off RM260 from the retail price tag which is how it ended up at these pricings:
iPhone 14 Pro: RM5,039 (128GB) / RM5,539 (256GB) / RM6,539 (512GB) / RM7,539 (1TB)
iPhone 14 Pro Max: RM5,539 (128GB) / RM6,039 (256GB) / RM7,039 (512GB) / RM8,039 (1TB)
The four remaining AARs in our list such as Switch/Urban Republic, DirectD, iT World (SNS Network), and senQ offer RM300 of savings instead:
iPhone 14 Pro: RM4,999 (128GB) / RM5,499 (256GB) / RM6,499 (512GB) / RM7,499 (1TB)
iPhone 14 Pro Max: RM5,499 (128GB) / RM5,999 (256GB) / RM6,999 (512GB) / RM7,999 (1TB)
As per we have noted before, we have no knowledge of whether this price reduction is permanent or a time-limited promotion since none of the retailers that we mentioned above has provided any explanation in regard to that. In the grand sense of things, the reduction of RM250 to RM300 or around 3% to 5% is not exactly a lot but for those who are planning to get their hands on an iPhone 14 Pro or 14 Pro Max, do pay attention to the price update.
