Alongside the Zenbook 14X, ASUS also unveiled the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED model to its current generation portable computer series. Like its predecessors, the newer device also sports the same convertible form factor, which enables users to use it as a regular laptop or a tablet. Additionally, it comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, Harman Kardon speakers, and more.
According to the company, the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED features a more versatile, compact and elegant design, measuring at just 15.9 mm thin and weighing at 1.5 kg. while its chassis boasts a military standard durability rating of MIL-STD-810. The convertible laptop comes with a 14-inch touchscreen display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.8K resolution, and ASUS Pen 2.0 MPP 2.0 stylus compatibility. It is also TUV Rheinland certified in terms of eye care, PANTONE validated, and has a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The Zenbook 14 Flip OLED also comes with a full-size ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad with NumberPad 2.0, a FHD infrared webcam, and a 360-degree hinge which allows users to use the laptop in any orientation. Audio-wise, onboard is a Harman Kardon certified audio system with multi-dimensional Dolby Atmos sound, as well as built-in microphones with AI noise cancelling technology for crystal clear calls.
Under its hood is a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1340P processor, which is paired together with Intel Xe graphics, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM, and 512 GB internal storage via PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. In terms of connectivity, there are two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, a HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm audio combo jack, as well as dual-band WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
Meanwhile, powering the new ASUS convertible laptop is a 75 Wh battery with 65 W fast charging support via USB-C, which ASUS says is capable of topping up to 60% of its battery in as little as 49 minutes. On the software side of things, pre-installed is the Home edition of Microsoft’s Windows 11 platform.
The ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED is scheduled to arrive in Malaysia in late March 2023, though no specific date was provided. As for pricing, the upcoming convertible is set to retail for RM 5,499.
