Rumours of its existence have been flying around for the past week or so. As you can tell, it turned out to be absolutely true: Apple has just officially announced that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus can now be obtained in yellow which goes hand-in-hand with the upcoming spring season.
The new yellow option is the sixth colourway for both phones to date which previously were already available in Midnight, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, Blue, and Purple. The implementation was generally similar too, as Apple has draped the phone’s frame in metallic yellow while the back features a slightly lighter shade of yellow but is still quite prominent – at least that is what we can see from the official product photos.
As you might expect, the arrival of the new yellow colourway did not change the price of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Malaysia. Let us refresh your memory with the price list:
iPhone 14 128GB: RM4,199
iPhone 14 256GB: RM4,699
iPhone 14 512GB: RM5,699
iPhone 14 Plus 128GB: RM4,699
iPhone 14 Plus 256GB: RM5,199
iPhone 14 Plus 512GB: RM6,199
Even though the new colour option has officially been announced for our market and has been listed on Apple Malaysia’s website, you still to have wait for a little bit longer to get your hands on it. According to the website, pre-orders for the new yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Malaysia will only start on 10 March at 9:00 PM.
To purchase them outright, one has to wait until 14 March though. At the time this article is published, we have yet to see the new yellow colourway being offered by Apple Authorised Resellers (AAR) such as Machines and Switch, so you may want to reach out directly to them for further information if you prefer to purchase iPhone through them.
