Gaming laptops have generally been increasing in price over the years, making them more and more inaccessible as time goes by. Illegear has announced a new laptop which is safe to consider affordable, considering what it packs. It’s called the Illegear Mach 15, which you can get for under RM4000, depending on the components you pick for it.
Going through the spec sheet, the Illegear Mach 15 comes with a 15.6-inch 144Hz IPS display and an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor. For graphics, you have a choice of having last year’s Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, or a more recent RTX 4050. For RAM, it starts at 8GB, but if you’re willing to splurge, then you can have it go all the way up to 64GB. It’s the same story for storage, with a 512GB M.2 PCIe 4 SSD as the starting point. If you prefer, you can push this up to 4TB.
For its ports, the Illegear Mach 15 comes with one HDMI 2.1 port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4, one RJ-45 LAN port, a single 3.5mm audio jack, three USB-A 3.1 and a single USB-C port. There’s even a full-sized SD card slot too. All this comes packed in a body that measures 360 (L) x 243 (W) x 19 (H) mm, and a weight of 1.85kg.
For its price, as mentioned earlier, if you opt for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU option, then you can get the Illegear Mach 15 at a starting price of RM3999. The company is also offering a 5% discount if you pay by cash. That being said, the laptop will only be available later in the month. For now until 12 March though, you can place your pre-order for the laptop, and if you do, you get a few freebies thrown in. This includes getting its RAM pushed up to 16GB, as well as getting an SSD that’s equipped with a heatsink. You can find out more by hitting the two links below.
