LG has clarified that the new XBOOM 360 RP4 is not yet available in Malaysia, and will only arrive sometime in April. It added that pre-orders for the portable speaker are now open starting today until 31 March 2023 for RM 2,199, which is the same price that was mentioned in our original article. On that note, pages for the product has been updated on the brand’s official website as well as its online stores on Shopee and Lazada, so those interested can place their orders through these new links.

LG has announced that its XBOOM 360 RP4 portable speaker is now available in Malaysia. Unlike the brand‘s regular XBOOM devices, the 360 sub-series features lamp-inspired designs that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. At the same time, it is also capable of providing high quality audio and customisable ambient lighting that’s fitting for any occasion.
The new LG XBOOM 360 RP4 in particular comes with a conical-cylindrical design, with a distortion-free reflector structure to accommodate its twitter and woofer. Its upper cavity houses the onboard ambient lighting system as well, while situated on top is where you’ll find the device’s controls for playback and pairing, as well as the indicator for its battery. Additionally, there’s also a on top is a handle for porting the device around.
LG says the speaker’s premium build is fabricated partially from recycled plastic and other post-consumer materials, while surrounding it is a highly-durable beige fabric cover. It is also considerably large, measuring at 247.5 x 514 x 247.5 mm and weighing at 5.8 kg. Besides that, the XBOOM 360 RP4 comes with a 3.5 mm auxiliary in, a USB port, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
Internally, the device is equipped with a 120 W amplifier that’s promised to deliver rich, loud, and immersive surround sound with minimal distortion. Meanwhile, its lighting system is capable of generating 360-degree mood lighting with three different presets (Ambient, Nature and Party), as well as a range of customisable lighting options and sound effects when used with the LG XBOOM companion app. Speaking of which, the app also provides users with crowd pleasing DJ Effect features, allowing for the mixing of multiple samples as well as scratching and other sound effects.
Being a portable speaker, the LG XBOOM 360 RP4 is equipped with a non-removable 3,900 mAh battery, which is claimed to last about ten hours of usage. For charging, the company says a full top-up will take around five hours.
The XBOOM 360 RP4 is now available in Malaysia for RM 2,199, which LG says is available via its website, as well as its official stores on Lazada and Shopee. However, at the time of writing, it appears that the brand has yet to list the device online. We’ve reached out to the company for clarification regarding this.
