Lenovo has announced a refresh for a pretty substantial lineup of its laptops for MWC 2023. These include the likes of the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13, Z16, X13 and X13 Yoga. And as is the case with many of the new laptops announced this year, all these laptops will be sporting the 16:10 aspect ratio display.
Starting with the Lenovo ThinkPad Z series, both the Z13 and Z16 come with AMD Ryzen 7000 series mobile processors. These will also come with the team Red’s integrated AMD Radeon Graphics, with the Z16 model getting the chance to be equipped with the optional AMD Radeon 6550M GPU. Both models support up to 64GB of RAM, as well as up to 2TB of SSD storage.
As for their differences, starting with the most obvious is their screen size. The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 comes with a 13.3-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS or a 2.8K OLED touch screen. The larger Z16 model, on the other hand, has a 16-inch screen which provides either the familiar WUXGA IPS screen or a 4K OLED panel. For their batteries, the Z13 has one that’s rated at 51.5Wh, while the Z16’s battery is rated at 72Wh. While both models support WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, the smaller model notably has the option to also support 4G LTE mobile connectivity. It also has the option to sport a Flax Fibre top cover.
Moving on to the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 an X13 Yoga, the former gets the choice of either running AMD Ryzen 7000 mobile processors or those from Intel’s 13th gen range. The latter, on the other hand, only runs with processors from the Blue brand. Either way, both models will be running their processors’ respective integrated graphics solutions. RAM and storage goes up to 32GB and 2TB respectively. Both also get the option to run on 4G LTE mobile data, in addition to the usual WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1.
For their displays, there are quite a lot of options for both the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga, though the sizes are naturally all in 13.3 inches. For the former, the choices include a 2.8K OLED option, a WUXGA low power IPS option, or a WUXGA IPS touch screen. As for the latter, they are both of the WUXGA touch screen IPS variety, but with either 400 nits or 300 nits for maximum brightness.
Despite their early reveal, none of these will be made available in the near future. Lenovo says that the ThinkPad Z13, X13 and X13 Yoga will only be available starting July, while the Z16 will be appearing a month later. For their prices, The Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 starts from EUR1649 (~RM7764), while the ThinkPad Z16 starts from EUR2249 (~RM10589). For the ThinkPad X13, this has a starting price of EUR1190 (~RM5603), while the Yoga variant starts from EUR1290 (~RM6074). No word on local details just yet though.
