Early last month, Razer announced the Blade 16 and 18 laptops, which made it look like the company was phasing out the older models in favour of the new models with 16:10 screens. As it turns out, that’s not the case, as the company has now announced the 2023 refresh of the Razer Blade 15. And the company has quite the hierarchy established for its three main laptops now.
Maintaining its traditional form factor, the Razer Blade 15 comes with the much more common 16:9 aspect ratio screen. Going into the details, this is a QHD IPS panel with 240Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. For its processor, it runs an Intel Core i7-13800H, which puts it a step below the Core i9-13950HX that the Blade 16 and 18 have. It’s a similar story on the graphics department, with the Blade 15 coming with a choice of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070. The larger models, on the other hand, get the 4090 as an available option.
Other things on the spec sheet include 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. These can be pushed up all the way to 64GB and 4TB, respectively. The battery is rated at 80Wh, which the company claims gives the Razer Blade 15 up to six hours of use time. All this is packed in a body that “weighs less than four and a half pounds”, or about 2kg.
Razer says that the Blade 15 is already available, with the RTX 4060 model being priced at US$2499.99 (~RM 11085), while the RTX 4070 model gets a US$2799.99 (~RM12415) price tag. That being said, neither are listed on the official Razer online store for the local market. This, like with the Blade 18, may be one of those instances where the company is not bringing the laptop to our shores. Which would be strange as the company previously brought in a limited number of models for the Blade 15.
