A number of Maxis Fibre customers have reported disruption in their Internet service. However, information regarding it is rather scarce for the time being though as there is no clear indication of the scope of disruption as well as what actually caused it.
For one, the number of chatters regarding the Maxis Fibre service disruption within social networks such as Facebook and Twitter was not exactly high. Even on Lowyat.NET Forums, there were very few posts that talked about the disruption within the Maxis Fibre thread.
Nevertheless, almost all of them have reported prolonged downtime or slow connections with some have been facing disruption since two days ago. Some of the Lowyat.NET editorial members are also Maxis Fibre customers but did not encounter any disruption in their Internet service. Hence, based on what we have seen so far, it seems likely that the disruption might not be widespread but it is still ongoing even at the time this article
Nevertheless, we are now working to get further clarification from Maxis and we will keep you posted once we hear more from the telco.
