Back at the start of CES 2023, ASUS was one of several brands present, giving media and tech journalists a taste of things to come with its ROG Zephyrus 2023 gaming laptop lineup. As for when said laptops will be arriving locally, the brand has indicated that the earliest will be at the end of February.
The laundry list of ASUS ROG Zephyrus 2023 laptops coming are the Duo 16, M16, G16, and G14. The models series’ that will be coming in first are the Zephyrus M16 and G16.
The Zephyrus M16 2023 will be the first to hit the shelves at the end of this month, with a starting price of RM10999. The laptop will have three SKUs – the base model for our market ships out with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 140W discrete GPU with 8GB GDDR6 graphics memory. The second SKU houses a 145W RTX 4080 12GB, while the top-tier SKU of the lineup comes with 145W RTX 4090 16GB.
The CPU for all three Zephyrus M16 models remains the same, which happens to be a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900H. Another physical feature that is identical across the board is that all three SKUs come with 16-inch ROG Nebula HDR QHD+ display, with 240Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio.
To top it off, all SKUs of the Zephyrus M16 come with 32GB DDR5-4800 dual-channel RAM, up to 2TB NVMe Gen4 SSDs, and a 90WHr battery. Oh, and the back panel all feature ASUS’ AniMe Matrix LED Display. Pricing starts from RM10999 for the base model and tops off at RM17999.
Moving down the line, ASUS is also bringing in three variants of its Zephyrus G16 laptops but for the moment, it will be launching the base model of the series. This SKU retails at RM6999, comes with Intel’s earlier 12th Gen Core i7-12700H CPU, a 120W RTX 4050 6GB discrete GPU, and a normal 16-inch Full HD+ IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate.
The other two SKUs of the Zephyrus G16 will only be available from April onwards, along with their official SRPs.
Moving on, the Zephyrus G14 2023 will also be available in three SKUs but like the G16, ASUS will only be bringing in the base model with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU and a 95W, Ampere-based RTX 3050 6GB, along with a 14-inch FHD+ IPS 16:10 144Hz display, 16GB DDR5-4800, and 512GB NVMe Gen4 SSD. The other two SKUs come with an RTX 40 Series GPU, but from what we understand, ASUS is only bringing in the ones with the RTX 4050. Of those two, one wields a more powerful Ryzen 9 7940HS CPU, along with 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe Gen4 SSD.
The base Zephyrus G14 model will retail at an SRP of RM6499 and will be available from Mid-March onwards, while the other two will hit the shelves sometime in April.
Last but not least is the Zephyrus Duo 2023. Rocking an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX mobile CPU and a choice between a 165W RTX 4080 or RTX 4090, this dual-display gaming cum productivity laptop is expected to be available to the masses from April onwards, with pricing to follow then. Other specifications include up to 4TB (2TB+2TB) NVMe Gen4 SSD in Raid 0 configuration, up to 64GB DDR5-4800 dual-channel RAM, a 90WHr battery, and a main 16-inch QHD+ 16:10 display with 240Hz refresh rate.
