Acer today has introduced not one, but two new monitors under its Nitro series for the Malaysian market. These being the Nitro VG240YE and Nitro VG270E models, which are equipped with IPS panels that offer a refresh rate of up to 100 Hz and a VRB (visual response boost) response time of 1 ms.
Clearly, the only difference between the two monitors are their sizes; where the former sports a 24-inch display, while the latter is equipped with a 27-inch panel instead. Both models feature Acer’s ZeroFrame bezel-less design language, and are accompanied by a three-pronged tiltable stand. In addition, they are also VESA mount compatible, which enables them to be paired with most third-party monitor stands, wall mounts, or arms.
In terms of features, the IPS panels on both the Nitro VG240YE and Nitro VG270E supports up to FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, and up to 99% sRGB wide colour gamut. They also come equipped with Acer VisionCare technology for eye strain reduction especially over prolonged periods of use, as well as BlueLightShield Pro protection that reduces blue light while retaining colour accuracy and brightness.
Meanwhile, the new Nitro monitors support both HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity – a step up from Acer’s previous releases, which only offered HDMI and the somewhat dated VGA input. And just in case you’re wondering, neither model features any USB ports, built-in speakers, or an audio jack.
Priced at RM 459 and RM 549 respectively, both the Acer Nitro VG240YE and Nitro VG270E are looking to be decent and affordable choices if you’re considering getting entry-level monitors for gaming, general use, or even productivity. On that note, those interested can now purchase either model through the brand’s official eStore, as well as its stores on Shopee and Lazada.
