PRISM+ is planning to expand its offering in Malaysia to include smart home products. Known for its gaming monitor, large-screen TVs, and soundbars, the Singaporean company is also looking to grow its retail presence in our market.
For starters, PRISM+ is currently preparing to open its second physical store in Malaysia. Located at the newly launched East Wing of the IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, it will be the company’s biggest retail store to date and is intended to serve Klang Valley’s suburban population.
This is because PRISM+ believe that IOI City Mall’s location and status as the country’s largest shopping mall would likely attract families from surrounding areas. In comparison, PRISM+’s first Malaysian store at Sunway Pyramid is generally aimed at the younger crowd as the mall is flanked by educational institutions.
The new IOI City Mall store will also feature Logitech G gaming products that the company believe can complement its range of gaming monitors. It has also revealed the list of deals that will be made available to the first 50 customers of the store when the store is officially opened for business this coming Friday, 3 February:
- 1 x free F240n 24” 165Hz Gaming Monitor (worth RM629) for any purchase of a PRISM+ Q55-QE 55” 4K Android TV (available for RM1,799)
- 1 x free Elevate Stand (worth RM299) for any purchase of an X340 PRO 165Hz 34” Ultrawide Monitor (available for RM1599)
- 1x free Arc Lite Monitor Arm (worth RM229) for any purchase of an X240 144Hz Gaming Monitor (available for RM599)
- W220v 22” Productivity Monitor at only RM299 (normal price RM449)
As for the PRISM+ upcoming smart home offerings, the company is planning to introduce them to Malaysian consumers later this year. In Singapore, the brand has already dabbled into the segment by releasing the Zero Smart Air Conditioner and Oasis Smart Ceiling Fan.
While there is a possibility that both of them could make their way into our market, the company said it is still looking for the right smart home products for Malaysia though. So, it will take at least a few more months before we can see the first PRISM+ smart home offering over here.
