Samsung recently announced that the first Galaxy Unpacked launch event of 2023 will take place on 1 February (or 2 February, if you consider Malaysian time). While the company did not explicitly mention the name of the device that it going to announce over there but whispers from the rumour mills as well as leaks clearly point to the Galaxy S23 Series.
Furthermore, the imageries that Samsung used to tease the February Unpacked event featured what seemed to be a trio of camera lenses. That particular design has appeared in almost all images released by reputable leaksters which further strengthens the rumours that the Galaxy S23 Series will be the star of the launch event.
Meanwhile, Samsung has recently announced that it will be opening 29 Galaxy Experience Spaces across the world in order to debut the new Galaxy devices to the public after February’s Unpacked event. Interestingly enough, the company has listed Kuala Lumpur as one of the locations.
Specifically, the chosen location is the Samsung Experience Store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Given that revelation, we believe that Malaysians might be able to check out the new Galaxy devices within a few hours after its global unveiling event in San Francisco.
This does not really come as a surprise given that Samsung doesn’t usually waste much time rolling out its flagship Galaxy devices into Malaysia over the years after their global unveiling events. After all, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has already popped up in SIRIM’s database before.
Given the limited amount of space that is available at the store, we doubt that the Galaxy Experience Space in Samsung Experience Store will be as grand as the implementation that the company is planning for flagship locations such as San Francisco, London, Paris, Singapore, and Dubai though. It is not known for now whether the new Galaxy devices will be shown at other locations in Malaysia although you can definitely expect Samsung to go on tour with them soon enough.
We have tried reaching out to Samsung Malaysia’s representative to obtain further information but have yet to receive a response at the time this article is published. We will keep you posted once we hear more from the company but in the meantime, if you somehow already aiming to get your hands on the new Galaxy device, Samsung is already offering an RM200 e-voucher that you can use during the pre-order period later.
