Capcom officially announced Street Fighter 6 back in February of this year. Since then, the publisher has only revealed that it will launch sometime in 2023, as well as acknowledge a character roster leak. Now, with an accidental early reveal on the PlayStation Store, it looks like the game has a precise release date.
Gematsu reports that a screenshot of Street Fighter 6 on PSN has circulated on the ResetEra forums, showing the game’s pre-order page. The report also credited Twitter user @SurpriseBurn who claims to be the one to have gotten the screenshot first. Sort of corroborating this is a video of the same screen, this time by Twitter user @bestbrosplay3. Beyond the release date, these also show that there will be three editions of the game.
But first, the release date in question. On all three editions, the pre-order period “ends on release date”, with 2 June being the date from the look of things. The standard edition of Street Fighter 6 also looks to come with more than just the game, with bonuses like additional colour options and special titles and stickers. Though it’s unclear if these are naturally a part of the package or if this is some sort of pre-order bonus.
The Deluxe Edition of Street Fighter 6 adds an additional Year 1 Character Pass, while the Ultimate Edition replaces it with the Year 1 Ultimate Pass. It’s not immediately obvious what the difference between the two is, though one can assume that the former only gives you newer characters, while the latter will also provide you with other DLC released within the first year.

Considering that the page in question can no longer be accessed, the Street Fighter 6 release date is probably accurate, unless Capcom says otherwise. And with The Game Awards happening tomorrow, there’s always the possibility of the publisher saying something.
