realme today has confirmed that its latest smartphone, the realme 10 Pro+ 5G, will be launching in Malaysia on 8 December 2022. Chances are, it is very likely that the high-end model won’t be the only one from the realme 10 line-up that will see a local debut, as its siblings – the standard and Pro variants – have also been approved alongside by SIRIM in late October.
Based on the series’ launch in China last week, it is revealed that the top-end realme 10 Pro+ 5G sports a curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2412 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness, and a colour output of one billion. Under its hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset that is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of internal storage.
For photography, the phone features a triple camera setup which consists of a 108 MP primary shooter, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2MP depth sensor, whereas situated in the cutout on its display is a 16 MP selfie camera. Besides that, it also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging via USB-C, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Android 13 via realme UI 4.0 platform, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Next up is the realme 10 Pro 5G, which features a flat 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 680 nits peak brightness, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Internally, it is equipped with a Snapdragon 695 chipset, along with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The phone also comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging via USB-C, Android 13 via realme UI 4.0, and also support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Imaging-wise, the Pro model only comes with dual rear cameras, but retains the 108 MP primary and 2 MP depth sensor. Housed within the cutout on its display, on the other hand, is a 16 MP selfie camera.
Lastly, the standard model features a flat 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and 360 Hz touch sampling rate. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio G99 chip, along with up to 8GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. Like the Pro model, it also has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging via USB-C, Android 13 via realme UI 4.0, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Meanwhile, the vanilla realme 10 comes with a 50 MP primary and a 2MP macro dual camera setup on its back, and also a 16 MP selfie camera situated within the punch-hole cutout on its display.
As mentioned earlier, the all-new realme 10 Pro+ 5G (hopefully, together with its siblings) is confirmed to launch in Malaysia on 8 December 2022. Naturally, we’ll only find out regarding its pricing and date of availability by then.
