The iQOO 11 5G gaming smartphone is set to debut in Malaysia on 2 December 2022. This detail is confirmed by the vivo subsidiary itself through a form provided to those interested in participating in an early bird hands-on experience with the device during the local launch.
On top of that, successful applicants will also stand a chance to be part of the first pre-order batch for the upcoming smartphone that is limited to only 600 units, as well as take part in a lucky draw during launch day. According to iQOO (via vivo’s official Malaysia website), registration is now open until 1 December 2022. The event itself will be held in Shah Alam, and will also be live streamed through the brand and vivo’s social media channels.
As for the IQOO 11 5G itself, the only detail confirmed so far is its onboard processor, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which was recently launched by Qualcomm earlier this month. Besides that, teasers shared by brand are claiming that the phone will also come with the “fastest refresh rate” and a “powerful battery life”, which may corroborate with earlier rumours surrounding its specifications.
To recap our previous report, unofficial sources claim the iQOO 11 5G would sport a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 300 Hz touch sampling rate. It is also said to come with up to 12 GB of RAM, UFS 4.0 based internal storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 120 W fast charging support. And for imaging, leaksters believe the phone could feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 MP primary, a 13 MP ultra-wide and an 8 MP macro, whereas found on its display is a 16 MP selfie shooter.
Meanwhile, a recent leak on Weibo alleges the iQOO 11 5G to feature a somewhat similar design as its predecessor. More specifically, images provided by the leakster shows the phone sporting two different rear panels; one presumably being the standard version, while the other is the BMW limited edition – based on the tri-colour racing stripes. Both of which feature a rectangle island on the upper left corner, housing a triple camera setup.
As usual, we’ll only find out whether any of these leaks are accurate during the phone’s upcoming launch, which is slated to happen next week. Naturally, other important details such as its pricing and date of availability in Malaysia will also be revealed by iQOO during the event itself.
