Gaming-specialised smartphone brand iQOO has been around for a couple of years, but it appears that the vivo subsidiary will finally make an official debut in Malaysia soon. On top of that, it is suggested via the company’s local Facebook page that it will be entering the market with its latest flagship handset, the iQOO 11 5G.
From the teasers shared, it is confirmed that the upcoming iQOO 11 5G will be the first product from the company to come equipped with the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Provided that it launches in Malaysia as soon as the company is suggesting it would be, this could also potentially make it the first of its kind to arrive for the local market, ahead of competitors such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, Samsung, and so on.
Unfortunately, apart from hinting that it might feature a BMW collaborative theme, the brand did not share much details regarding the smartphone’s other hardware specifications or its design. However, unofficial sources (via GSMArena) claim that the iQOO 11 5G would sport a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 300 Hz touch sampling rate. Measurements-wise, it is said that the handset will come in at 164.8 x 77.0 x 8.5 mm in terms of dimensions, and has a weight of 205 g.
Based on a Geekbench result, accompanying the next-generation Qualcomm flagship chipset could be a RAM capacity of up to 12 GB, while rumours suggest that its storage will use the new UFS 4.0 format. Additionally, it is said that the phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 120 W fast charging.
In the imaging department, the iQOO 11 5G is alleged to feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 MP primary shooter, a 13 MP ultra-wide, and an 8 MP macro. Meanwhile, situated within the punch-hole cutout on its display is said to be a 16 MP selfie camera.
There’s no official word on when the vivo subsidiary brand is planning to launch the iQOO 11 5G in Malaysia. However, seeing that the company has already begun hyping up the smartphone’s imminent arrival, we might actually see its local debut very soon.
