Amazfit has quietly launched its latest Falcon smartwatch for the Malaysian market. As revealed by its global debut last month, the wearable sports a rugged aircraft-grade TC4 titanium unibody with MIL-STD 810G certification and 20 ATM water resistance, among other features.
For its display, the new Amazfit Falcon features a 1.28-inch AMOLED touchscreen with 416 x 416 pixel resolution, 326 ppi pixel density, brightness of up to 1,000 nits, and Always-On capability. It is also protected with a touch sapphire glass crystal which is covered with anti-fingerprint coating to prevent smudges. The watch itself is only available in a single steel colour with a red accent, while included together with it are 22mm liquid silicone wide straps with titanium pin buckle.
Under its hood is a BioTracker 3.0 PPG biometric sensor for blood-oxygen, heart rate, stress, sleep and 6PD tracking, as well as support for six satellite positioning systems and dual-band GPS (L1 and L5). As for software, the Falcon runs on the brand’s Zepp OS and includes a variety of features, including the AI-powered Zepp Coach app, PeakBeats, and over 150 indoor and outdoor sports modes with smart recognition.
Besides that, it comes with external workout device connectivity, which allows you to link it with heart rate belts and cycling power metres via Bluetooth. And speaking of wireless connectivity, the rugged smartwatch has built-in support for Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and WLAN 2.4 GHz. Of course, also onboard are typical smartwatch functions such as receiving notifications and making calls away from your smartphone, as well as the ability to synchronise data to compatible third-party apps such as Google Fit, Apple Health, Relive, Strava, and Adidas’ Running app.
Lastly, the wearable features a 500 mAh battery capacity that is claimed to last up to 14 days when used regularly, up to 30 days on Battery Saver Mode, and up to seven days with heavy usage. As with most smartwatches in the market, the Falcon comes with a proprietary 5-pin plug charger which Amazfit says is capable of delivering a full charge in approximately two hours.
The new Amazfit Falcon is available through the brand’s official store on Shopee and Lazada, and is currently priced at RM 1,999. According to the company, those who purchase the device are also entitled a complementary Amazfit Bip U Pro smartwatch, jump rope, and a seven-day Celebrity Fitness pass while stocks last.
