ASUS may have officially announced the ROG Phone 6D and its Ultimate variant back in September, but the company did not provide local pricing and availability details. That has finally changed, as we now know when these phones will be making local appearances, and what their asking prices are.
To provide a quick refresher, the ASUS ROG Phone 6D and its Ultimate variant are mostly similar to their Snapdragon counterparts, at least on the outside. On the inside, the key difference is of course the fact that they are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset. RAM and storage capacities are a little different, but nothing too dramatic.
For instance, the base 6D that is heading to our market will come with only one configuration of 12GB + 256GB, unlike the two variants that the Snapdragon model. As for the Ultimate, this comes with a 16GB + 512GB configuration, as opposed to the 18GB of RAM in the Pro model. Meanwhile, the batteries are identical across the board, with the same 6000mAh battery that supports 65W charging.
Cameras are also familiar, with the 50MP + 13MP wide angle + 5MP macro setup making a return. In front, there’s the 12MP camera sitting in the top bezel.
For their prices, the ASUS ROG Phone 6D will be priced at RM3499, while the Ultimate model has a RM4999 asking price. Both will be available starting 9 November. Both will only have one colour variant, which is Space Grey.
As a bonus, ASUS Malaysia also announced that the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition will also be coming to Malaysia. Despite its similarities to the base Snapdragon model in black, it turns out that this special edition model is closer to the 6D model in specs. It will instead have a RM4799 price tag, but will only available on 25 November.
