While the device has yet been listed on Microsoft Malaysia’s website, the pre-orders for Microsoft Surface Pro 9 are now already open in our market until 28 November. First unveiled to the world last month, the new model marked the arrival of the 12th Gen Intel Core processor into the Surface family.
For models with 256GB storage and above, they are also Intel Evo-certified machines as well. However, the physical design of the tablet is similar to its predecessor though.
Here is how much the Surface Pro 9 costs in Malaysia:
- Intel Core i5 / 8GB RAM / 128GB SSD: RM5,299
- Intel Core i5 / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD: RM5,759
- Intel Core i7 / 16GB RAM / 256GB SSD: RM8,399
- Intel Core i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD: RM9,999
In terms of colourway, the Core i5 128GB is only available in Platinum while both Core i7 options are also limited to just Graphite. However, the Core i5 256GB can be obtained in either Graphite, Forest, or Sapphire.
As per its predecessor, you have to purchase the Surface Keyboard and Surface Pen for Surface Pro 9 separately. That being said though, pre-order customers will be provided with a free Microsoft Surface Pro Signature Keyboard that costs RM759 if purchased separately.
Certain retailers may also provide additional free gifts but the items that customers will receive depends from one retailer to another. For example, PC Image is giving away a 23.5-inch Samsung LED monitor, Acefast T3 True Wireless Stereo Earbuds, and a 1-year subscription to McAfee LifeSafe Antivirus Security.
On the other hand, SNS Network’s Gloo lists Microsoft Arc Mouse and 27-inch Samsung LED monitor as its freebie while Senheng/senQ provides a Microsoft Surface Mobile Mouse alongside unknown true wireless earbuds and a printer. Hence, you may want to check out all authorized Surface retailers listed here to find the best deal for yourselves if you planning to get your hands on the new first-party Windows 11 tablet from Microsoft.
