Specifications of an unannounced Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone has made its way online, thanks to leakster and 91mobiles contributor Yogesh Brar. Seeing that the Chinese tech giant often debuts its next generation flagship series in December or in the beginning of the new year, it is only natural for information from unofficial sources to start pouring in.
According to Brar, the upcoming Pro model will allegedly feature a 6.7-inch LTPO display with 2K resolution. Chances are, this variant may also feature a curved screen and 120 Hz refresh rate like its predecessor. Unfortunately, the leakster did not provide any information regarding its design, though it would be unsurprising if the phone would feature a reworked rear panel and camera array.
As for its internals, it is suggested that the Xiaomi 13 Pro would come with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a chipset that Qualcomm is expected to announce very soon. Brar adds that accompanying the processor is up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage, which sounds about right given that the Xiaomi 12 Pro also came with the same memory configurations. Besides that, it is believed that the new Pro model will run on the brand’s new Android 13-based MIUI 14 platform, and would feature a 4,800 mAh battery with 120 W fast charging capability that is managed by the onboard Surge P2 chip.

Meanwhile, on the back of the phone is said to be a triple camera setup that is powered by the Xiaomi Surge C2 chip, along with imaging enhancement technology developed by Leica. Leading the charge on the camera department is the same 1-inch 50 MP Sony IMX 989 sensor as this year’s 12S Ultra model, which is accompanied by a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 50 MP telephoto. Additionally, the leakster says found in front of the Pro is a 32MP selfie camera.
Provided that Brar’s information is accurate, the supposedly onboard next-gen Snapdragon chipset and Leica-enhanced primary camera with Sony’s 1-inch 50 MP IMX 989 sensor are looking to be the phone’s major highlights. The latter of which will undoubtedly be the feature that a lot of people around the world are looking forward to the most, as its current iteration on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is only exclusive to the Chinese market.
For now, it is still not known when the company may launch its upcoming flagship series. But as we mentioned earlier, it is possible that the smartphones will debut in either December this year or early 2023.
