First revealed to the world at its IFA 2022 outing last month, HMD Global has recently confirmed that the Nokia X30 5G will be heading to Malaysia soon. In case you missed our launch news, the new model is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.
Houses within a 100% recycled aluminium frame that is accompanied by a back area that was made from 65% recycled plastics, the X30 also carries a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. Together with a 90Hz refresh rate, it also has an in-display fingerprint reader and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
For photography, the X30 relies on its PureView rear camera module covered by Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+ antireflective coating. The module imaging’s hardware consisted of a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera while the phone also comes standard with a 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera.
Completing its general specifications is a 4200mAh battery which apparently able to deliver up to two days of battery life according to HMD Global. X30 is able to support fast chargers with a power rating of up to 33W although users have to purchase it separately since HMD Global did not include a charger alongside the phone.
Even though HMD Global may have officially confirmed the imminent arrival of the IP67-certified phone in our market, detail regarding its pricing and official rollout date is still missing though. It is also not known at the moment which memory and internal storage configurations the company will offer in Malaysia as the X30 can be obtained with either 6GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB options.
Nevertheless, if you need a reference, the X30 has an average starting price of EUR529 (~RM2,471) according to HMD Global. That being said, the company has announced that the pre-order for the X30 will be taking place on 24 October through the brand’s official Lazada and Shopee stores.
