ASUS has announced a fair number of laptops earlier this year. Today, the company is adding something a little more affordable to the list. It’s called the ASUS Vivobook 16X (M1603), which is also immediately available.
Going over what the laptop has to offer, the ASUS Vivobook 16X comes with, as the name suggests, a 16-inch LCD display. But rather than the usual 16:9 aspect ratio screen, this comes with a slightly less common 16:10 aspect ratio, with its 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution. Sitting above it is a webcam, which comes with a physical privacy shield.
This also comes with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600 six-core processor, as well as the AMD Radeon Vega 7 integrated graphics. Beyond those, there are the 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD. There is also an additional DDR4 SO-DIMM slot if you need more. For the laptop’s connectivity options, the company lists WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Keeping everything running is a 50WHr battery.
Being primarily a productivity device, the ASUS Vivobook 16X comes with lots of connectivity ports for all your peripherals. This includes a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a USB 2.0 port, a HDMI output port and an audio combo jack. The keyboard is a full-size ErgoSense keyboard, which also allows the laptop to lay completely flat, if the need to do so ever arises. Integrated into the top-right corner of the touchpad is a fingerprint sensor for another form of biometric lock.
The ASUS Vivobook 16X (M1603) is priced at RM2999, and is available in two colours, Quiet Blue and Transparent Silver. The company says that it is available starting today, though its official product page doesn’t reflect this at the time of writing. That being said, you can visit said product page, linked below, to find out more about the laptop.
