Originally teased back in May at the company’s I/O event, Google today has finally launched the new Pixel 7 Series. Powered by the equally new Google Tensor G2 processor, the new series still followed the tradition by having two models including the standard Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.
As you may know, one of the advantages that the Pro variant has over the standard model is a larger screen size and things are no different for the Pixel 7 Pro. This particular model is equipped with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED that has native QHD+ (3129 x 1440) resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
On the other hand, the standard Pixel 7 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a variable refresh rate that maxes out at 90Hz. The screens and the back area of both IP68-rated 5G devices are protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Pre-installed with Android 13, both phones feature the same 50MP PD Quad Bayer main camera that also has an f/1.85 lens, laser autofocus, and both optical & electronic image stabilization. They also have a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera but the version on Pixel 7 Pro has been enhanced with an autofocus feature.
The Pixel 7 Pro also has the upper hand when it comes to battery capacity with 5000mAh versus the 4355mAh battery on the standard Pixel 7. Charging-wise, they can support power ratings of up to 23W and 21W, respectively for both wired and wireless charging.
In the United States, the Pixel 7 with 128GB goes for USD599 (~RM2,777) for 128GB while the 256GB version can be obtained for USD699 (~RM3,241). The pricing for the Pixel 7 Pro starts at USD899 (~RM4,168) for the 128GB variant while the 256GB and 512GB options are listed at USD999 (~RM4,632) and USD1,099 (~RM5,095), respectively.
