Just announced for the Malaysian market is the 2023 edition of the Infinix Note 12 smartphone, which is slated to go on sale locally later this week. Unlike its predecessor, the newer mid-range model is only offered in a single configuration for both its onboard processor and memory selection.
Naturally, the 2023 edition also comes with an updated design for its rear panel. This time around, the phone features a large circular island for its triple camera setup rather than a vertical arrangement. Making a return on this model is the flat surrounding frame and the notched 6.7-inch True Colour AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 px resolution. Additionally, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, loudspeaker, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port.
Under the hood of the Infinix Note 12 2023 is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with a Mali G57 MC2 GPU, as well as 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, and expanded memory support via microSD. As with most phones of this class, it also features the ability to convert existing storage space to virtual memory – up to an additional 5GB, to be exact. Meanwhile, powering the device is a 5,000 mAh battery, which comes with 33W fast charging support.
Despite its change in design, Infinix’s latest mid-range model sports the same triple camera setup as its predecessor. Leading the charge is a 50 MP primary, followed by a 2 MP depth sensor and a QVGA shooter. Similarly, situated in the display’s notch is a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The all-new Infinix Note 12 2023 is slated to go on sale in Malaysia on 7 October 2022, where it will be offered at a special promotional price of RM 699 only on the day of launch. Outside of this promotion, it will be offered at a recommended retail price of RM 799 via the brand’s official store on Shopee. In terms of colour selection, the new mid-range phone will be available in either Volcanic Grey, Tuscany Blue, or Alpine White.
