Back in March, HONOR announced the HONOR X9, X8 and X7. Now, the company has announced another unit in the series, the HONOR X6. Continuing the same pricing pattern, the X6 is the one that’s furthest on the entry-level spectrum. And it will be available later this week.
For its specs, the HONOR X6 runs MagicUI 6.1 based on Android 12, and sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of RAM. That one is apparently a big deal for the company, as it claims that the device is the first one by the company to have that amount of storage space for under RM600. An additional bonus is that it supports 1TB microSD for expended storage. There’s also a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated into the power button mounted on the side of the phone.
For its battery, the phone packs a 5000mAh battery, which the company claims can carry the phone through two days of use. Charging is rated at 10W via a USB-C port. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, which looks to only remain common among entry-level devices. For its cameras, the HONOR X6 sports a 50MP main camera, accompanied by a pair of 2MP shooters, a macro and a depth sensor. In front, it has a 5MP shooter which sits in a teardrop notch which also supports 2D facial recognition. Both are capable of up to Full HD video recording
The HONOR X6 comes in two colour variants, Titanium Silver and Ocean Blue, with both being priced at RM599, just barely under the RM600 mark mentioned above. For what it’s worth, you do still get a charging brick and the accompanying cable in the box, also something that’s becoming more uncommon on higher-end devices. It will be available for purchase starting Friday, 7 October 2022.
