The tech industry has become more environmentally conscious over the past few years and on Acer’s part, that has led to the creation of the Vero family. Among the family’s latest products is the refreshed iteration of the Aspire Vero laptop which is now readily available in Malaysia.
In general, the 2022 Aspire Vero is similar to last year’s models in terms of physical design. Being a Vero product, a huge portion of this laptop is made from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics.
The green-friendly aspect of the laptop also extends to its packaging which utilizes up to 90% recycled paper in addition to having the laptop bag and keyboard sheet made from 100% recycled polyester. The inner partition of the packaging can also be reused as a laptop stand.
When it comes to hardware differences, the 2022 Aspire Vero runs on the newer 12th Gen Intel Core processor. The USB-C port on this year’s model has been upgraded as a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that also acts as a Thunderbolt 4 port and supports a transfer speed of up to 10Gbps.
Furthermore, the 2022 iteration is equipped with a 4-cell battery which helped increased its battery life up to 11 hours as opposed to seven hours when compared to its 2021 counterpart. Being an Intel Evo-certified model, the 1.76kg laptop also has a fast charging feature that can allow it to operate for up to four hours with just 30 minutes of charging time together with an instant wake capability of under one second.
Price-wise, the 2022 Aspire Vero with Intel Core i5-1235U goes for RM2,599 while the variant with Intel Core i7-1255U is available for RM3,299. Pre-installed with Windows 11 Home and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021, both of them are now readily available through Acer Malaysia eStore and Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada alongside authorized Acer resellers across the country.
