NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Price In Malaysia To Start From RM4,730

The flagship RTX 4090 to be available from RM8,400 onwards

NVIDIA earlier this week unveiled its next-generation graphics card family in the form of the GeForce RTX 40 Series. With the new Ada Lovelace GPU architecture helming the new release, the series rollout will begin with flagship models which include the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090.

Specifically, the higher-end RTX 4090 which offers two times the performance of RTX 3090 Ti will launch into the market first starting from 12 October onwards. On the other hand, the RTX 4080 which can be obtained with either 12GB or 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM and can be twice as fast as the RTX 3080 Ti will follow suit sometime in November.

Being flagship cards, these new RTX 40 Series offerings naturally come with a hefty price tag. According to GeForce’s official site for Malaysia, the RTX 4090 will be available in our market with a starting price of RM8,400.

On the other hand, the RTX 4080 will start from RM4,730 for the 12GB variant while the 16GB version goes from RM6,300 onwards. At the moment, it is unclear whether the prices shown on GeForce Malaysia’s website are meant for the Founders Edition (FE) cards or those that come from NVIDIA’s add-in board (AIB) partners instead.

Then again, NVIDIA has never officially released any FE cards into Malaysia so far. So, if we have to guess, then chances are that the prices mentioned on the website were for AIB cards.

Since the general starting price for the RTX 4090 is USD1,599 (~RM7,307), Malaysian gamers have to fork out at least around RM1,100 more to get their hands on the card here. The situation is similar for the RTX 4080 whereby you have to pay at least an additional RM624 for the 12GB variant or RM824 for the higher-end 16GB version.
