Following up on a leak which he shared last week, Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) claims that he has new information regarding OnePlus’ allegedly upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 11 Pro. This time around, via a collaboration with website 91mobiles, the serial leakster has provided details regarding the device’s key specifications – something which he left out previously.
Via the new leak, Hemmerstoffer says the OnePlus 11 Pro is expected to sport a flat 6.7-inch AMOLED display, which will feature QHD+ resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition, the flagship is said to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, a speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, and the return of the alert slider on its right hand side.
To the dismay of OnePlus fans, the latter feature was absent from the more recent OnePlus 10T, which led most to speculate that the company may be permanently dropping it from its future smartphones. However, this might not be the case at all based on OnLeaks’ information, provided that it is actually accurate.
As for internal hardware, the phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s next generation flagship chipset, tentatively known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is expected to debut later this year in November. Accompanying it is 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for the standard trim, while the high-specced variant will have 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB. The leakster adds that the OnePlus 11 Pro will have a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh with 100 W fast charging support via USB-C.
On to its imaging capabilities, the allegedly upcoming OnePlus flagship is said to feature a 50 MP primary, 48 MP ultrawide and a 32 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom as part of its Hasselblad-enhanced triple camera setup that is housed in a new circular array, as seen from the previous leak. Meanwhile, housed within the punch-hole cutout on its display is a 32 MP selfie camera.
Besides that, OnLeaks says the phone will run on the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 out of the box, as well as featuring 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6E support. Seeing that Realme, one of the brand’s sister companies, is already working on introducing its own take on the iPhone 14’s Dynamic Island feature, it wouldn’t be surprising if OnePlus debuted a version of it on this particular model.
No details regarding the launch date of the OnePlus 11 Pro has been provided just yet, though it is speculated that the brand might announce it by early 2023. Should it stick with its yearly schedule, chances are we’ll be seeing the phone debut globally sometime in January.
