As per the company’s tradition, OnePlus has already graced this year with two variants of its current generation flagship, namely with the 10 Pro and the 10T models. So the question remains: what’s next in store for the Android smartphone maker? Well, if the information provided by tech insider OnLeaks is to be believed, we wouldn’t have to wait till next year to see what the upcoming OnePlus 11 Pro looks like.
Based on a set of renders just recently shared by the leakster (in collaboration with Indian tech website Smartprix), OnePlus’ next generation flagship is shown to feature a large flat display with a tiny cutout for its selfie camera which is located on the upper left corner. It also apparently retains curved edges for its frame, and fans of the brand will be delighted to know that the alert slider makes a return on this model. As you may recall, the latter was absent from this year’s OnePlus 10T due to design reasons, which disappointed a good number of users.
Aside from that, the placements for the volume rocker and lock/power button are the same as before, while a USB-C port can be found on the bottom. Much like its predecessors, the device is shown to lack a 3.5mm headphone jack but then again, this exclusion has become pretty common for most top-shelf smartphones that are released in this day and age.
Flipping over to the back, the alleged OnePlus 11 Pro now features a redesigned camera island. This time around, it appears that the company has decided to go with a circular bump which is shown to house a triple camera setup yet again. Unfortunately, OnLeaks did not detail what sensors are featured, though the images hints that the Hasselblad imaging system is retained on this model.
While we’re on the subject, specifications of the brand’s upcoming smartphone is still a mystery at this time. That being said, it is speculated that the OnePlus 11 Pro will come equipped with Qualcomm’s next generation flagship chip, which is currently tentatively referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
As with most leaks that feature any unannounced products, keep in mind that the images provided by OnLeaks are unofficial and could end up being inaccurate by the time the device is officially unveiled. On that note, it is possible that OnePlus may debut the next generation flagship in the beginning of 2023, provided that it sticks with its regular launch schedule.
