Jabra Malaysia is now accepting pre-orders for its latest TWS earbuds, the Elite 5, via its official stores on Shopee and Lazada. As you may recall from our report, the company had recently launched the new midrange audio product for the global market last week.
To recap, one of the major highlights of the Jabra Elite 5 is the Hybrid ANC (active noise cancelling) feature, which enables it to filter audio via its onboard inward and outward-facing microphones. As with most ANC-equipped earbuds in the market, the new device also comes with an ambient mode, dubbed by the company as HearThrough, which lets in external noises in order for you to be aware of your surroundings.
Contributing to its audio delivery ability are 6mm drivers on both earbuds, as well as featuring support for the typical audio codecs such as SBC, AAC, aptX and so on. Connectivity-wise, the Elite 5 relies on Bluetooth 5.2, with Google Fast pair and multipoint pairing support. Regarding the latter, Jabra says the device is able to pair up with a total of six compatible devices.
Design-wise, the Jabra Elite 5 shares the same stemless form of its siblings and comes with an IP55 rating in terms of weather resistance. The buds are offered in either Titanium Black or Gold Beige, which are also reflected on their accompanying charging case. Meanwhile, also included in the package are extra ear tip sizes and a USB-C cable.
In terms of battery life, Jabra claims that the device is capable of lasting up to seven hours of playback time with ANC activated, and up to nine hours with the feature switched off. When used together with the additional charges from the accompanying case, the buds get a total of 35 hours and 45 hours respectively. Additionally, on top of its ability to charge via a USB-C cable, the Elite 5’s case also comes with Qi wireless charging support.
As mentioned earlier, the new Jabra Elite 5 TWS earbuds are priced at RM 699, with pre-orders now available via the company’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada, which starts today until 13 September 2022. Jabra did not specify when exactly the new product is expected to ship out to buyers, though based on its pre-order window, it will likely arrive by the middle of this month.
