Digi today announced two new passes to its list of international roaming plans. The first being the three-day Asia Pass, while the second is the seven-day World Traveller Pass.
The three-day Asia Pass includes a data quota of 2GB and 30 minutes of phone calls, which can be used in over 20 eligible countries in the region such as China, South Korea, Japan, India, Laos, Vietnam and much more. The telco also notes that customers utilising the pass in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia are entitled to enjoy an extra 2GB internet for a limited time, though no exact date was provided.
The seven-day World Traveller Pass, on the other hand, provides a total of 7GB of internet data and also 60 minutes of voice calls. This particular plan can be used in 46 countries including Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Though marketed to cover multiple countries, keep in mind that both passes are intended for single-country use only. This means that you’re required to purchase either plan again if you travel to a different country from where you’ve activated them. Digi revealed that both of these newly introduced roaming passes are eligible to both its postpaid and prepaid users, therefore making it easier for all of its customers to stay connected during their travels.
Meanwhile, the telco also introduced the monthly Roam Like Home Freedom add-on for customers using the Digi postpaid 90 plan and above. This enables for 10GB data quota, 60 minutes voice calls, and 60 minutes of IDD voice calls while roaming. According to the company, the Roam Like Home package can be used in 10 countries including Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
In terms of pricing, the three-day Asia Pass is offered at RM 25, the seven-day World Traveller Pass at RM 50, while the Roam Like Home add-on differs depending on the user’s postpaid plan. Starting today onwards, customers can purchase the aforementioned roaming passes via the MyDigi app or dial *800*3#.
