Huawei Malaysia has officially announced that its latest high-end tablet, the MatePad Pro 11, will be arriving locally next week. For our market, the company has confirmed that we’ll be getting both the Snapdragon 888-equipped LTE model, and also the Snapdragon 870 WiFi-only variant.
To recap our previous coverage, either model of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 features an 11-inch 120Hz OLED display which features a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px, up to 120 Hz refresh rate, and an output of 1.07 billion colours. Also onboard are a total of four microphones with echo cancelling, as well as six Huawei Sound enhanced speakers. Both tablets measure at only 5.9mm thick, with a weight of 455 g for the LTE model and 449 g for the WiFi-only variant.
As mentioned earlier, featured under the hood of the LTE variant of the MatePad Pro 11 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the WiFi-only version comes with a Snapdragon 870 chipset, as well as 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Connectivity wise, the tablet supports 802.11ax dual-band Wi-Fi as standard alongside Bluetooth 5.2 for the LTE model and Bluetooth 5.1 for the WiFi option.
The new Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is powered by an 8,300mAh battery. However, do take note that fast charging support differs depending on the model that you choose to pick up. Specifically, the LTE model comes with 66W SuperCharge support, while the WiFi variant features 40W instead.
In terms of imaging, the new Huawei tablet sports a dual-camera setup on its back, which consists of a 13MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide. Found in front, on the other hand, is a 16MP selfie camera.
Finally, the device is also compatible with the brand’s second-generation M-Pencil stylus and a new detachable Smart Magnetic keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard charges wirelessly when connected to the tablet and could function as a stand for the tablet. In addition, it also features a hidden floating antenna to boost signal connectivity.
The new Huawei MatePad Pro 11 duo is slated to be available in Malaysia on 19 August 2022. The 8GB + 256GB LTE variant is priced at RM 3,699 while the 8GB + 128GB WiFi-only model is priced at RM 2,999. In conjunction with the device’s arrival, Huawei Malaysia is also offering free exclusive gifts for purchases of either variant from 19 to 31 August 2022 while stocks last. These include the brand’s M-pencil stylus, Smart Magnetic Keyboard accessory, as well as exclusive Huawei Mobile Services rewards.
