Last week, Samsung confirmed that it is holding its Unpacked event on 10 August. As part of the reveal, the company put up a teaser as to what will be announced. Said teaser showed glimpses of what looks like a Galaxy Z Flip device, which will presumably be called the Galaxy Z Flip4. The South Korean tech giant has since put up a new teaser, this time teasing another foldable series of devices.
This new teaser is over twice as long as the previous one, and features a decidedly wider device. There’s also a lot of panning in the dark to show this, as well as the similar “greater than” spiel.
Considering it’s another teaser, there’s nothing much that’s new to be gleamed from this. Though a previous leak, assuming it is accurate, may have told us most of what we want to know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, at least in terms of what is on its spec sheet. The device is expected to sport the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 chipset, between 12GB and 16GB of RAM, and between 256GB and 512GB of storage space. It is also expected to sport the same 4400mAh battery as the Galaxy Z Fold3, and its support for 25W charging.
The same applies to the main camera setup at the back, with the leaks pointing to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 using three shooters. But rather than having 12MP cameras for all of them, the main camera will be a 50MP unit. The under-display front-facing camera gets a bump to 16MP, while the cover display’s camera stays the same at 10MP.
With the Samsung Unpacked event taking place on 10 August, it won’t be long before these details are confirmed. The same goes info on the Galaxy Z Flip4. Beyond the two foldables, the company is also expected to announce a new pair of TWS buds and a new smartwatch.
