AMD’s launch of its upcoming Ryzen 7000 series CPU lineup and its accompanying socket AM5 chipset is clearly just around the corner. But while that may be the case, ASRock, one of the brand’s board partners, has clearly been giddy with excitement and has jumped the gun by letting the product page for its X670E motherboard go live.
The ASRock X670E in question is the Pro RS model but despite the product page being live, details about the motherboard have been kept to a minimal. For starters, the specifications you see on the main page is currently all you get; there’s usually a detailed specifications sheet included in a separate tab, but seeing how AMD’s AM5 chipset is yet to be readily available, it’s understandable that ASRock would withhold some information from consumers. That being said, the X670E Pro RS isn’t exactly groundbreaking and has made an appearance during this year’s muted Computex event.

Beyond the obvious LGA1718 socket and support for the new AMD Ryzen processor, the summarised specs sheet of the X670E Pro RS also lists down the motherboard as having one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, an M.2 SSD slot that also supports PCIe Gen5 x4, one Dragon 2.5Gbps LAN port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 port, and a healthy number of USB-A ports.
Interestingly, the images of the X670E Pro RS also show the M.2 Wi-Fi card slot as being populated, which explains the antenna modules at rear I/O and how the board will support Wi-Fi 6E. Other features include a Realtek ALC897 7.1 CH HD Audio Codec, with support for Nahimic Audio, plus integrated HDMI and DisplayPort ports.
As to when the ASRock X670E Pro RS will be available, it will basically be available at the same time as AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series does. Given the number of ports and slots on the board, however, it is possible that this could be one of the more affordable boards from the brand.
