Realme recently hinted at the possibility of its GT2 Explorer Master Edition launching sometime in July this year. The GT2 Explorer Master Edition was spotted on a Geekbench listing with the model number RMX3551. Based on the listing, it appears that the device will be housing a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which comes with 10% CPU and GPU gains compared to the non-plus Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC. It is also worth noting that upon its release, this will be the first Realme device to ship out with Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. Considering the premium smartphone’s updated specs most notably, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen SoC it is likely that it will surpass the previous models, performance-wise.
Specs-wise, the GT2 Explorer Master Edition will also feature and equipped with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and is installed with a 5,000mAh battery. Regarding the battery, the phone’s charging rate will be available in two options: 100W and 150W. As for the main camera module, the array will include a 50MP+50MP+2MP configuration for the rear cameras and a 16MP, punch-hole, selfie camera.
Other hardware specs of the GT2 Explorer Master Edition include up to 12GB RAM and a choice between 128GB, 256GB, and 512 GB of non-expendable storage. Additionally, the phone is also expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor and run on Android 12 out of the box.
Although the GT2 Explorer Master Edition’s potential July launch was hinted, though, you’d notice that Realme did not provide any specific launch date for the phone. Having said that, and given the brand’s trends and habit, it is possible we could see a launch either at the beginning or middle of the month.
