It was only a few months ago that Illegear introduced the Arté 14 Night Edition to the market which is the second model in the Arté family. Earlier in the week, the company expanded the series further by announcing the Arté 16.
As you might be able to guess from its name, the new model carries a 16-inch display as opposed to the 14-inch display on the Arté 14. Despite that, the screen resolution remains identical at 2880 x 1800, although Arté 16’s refresh rate is much higher at 240Hz while its 14-inch counterpart maxed out at 90Hz.
The launch of the 1.62kg laptop also marked the debut of the 12th Gen Intel Core processor for the Arté series although there is only one chip option provided by Illegear for Arté 16 which is the Core i7-12700H. On the other hand, one can choose to have their hands on the laptop with either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 Ti graphics.
The base model comes with 16GB dual-channel Samsung DDR5-4800 RAM while the laptop can actually support up to 64GB of RAM. As for its storage, Arté 16 comes standard with a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe solid state drive although the laptop can be maxed out with two 2TB M.2 solid state drives.
When it comes to I/O port, the Arté 16 features a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port alongside an HDMI 2.1 and USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 ports while there are also two USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and an SD card reader. Completing the laptop’s general specifications is an 80Whr battery alongside a 180W charger.
Price-wise, the new Arté 16 starts at RM8,399 and is currently available for pre-order directly from Illegear’s website. With orders expected to be fulfilled starting from 20 June, early adopters of the laptop will be provided with a free upgrade to a 1TB Samsung PM991 solid state drive as well as free application of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal solution.
