ASUS officially launched the GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition graphics card, made in collaboration with the Austrian cooler brand, Noctua. The card marks the second time the Taiwanese brand has launched such a card, the first having been the RTX 3070 Noctua Edition that was announced last year.
Then as now, the RTX 3080 Noctua Edition sport dual NF-A12x25 PWN fans, known for its whisper-quiet performance and optimal airflow. Adding on to that, the GPU also has a massive 2.2-slot heatsink made up of six heatpipes, contributing to the card’s equally girthy 4.1-slot thickness.
As per Noctua customs, the fans and cooler shroud of the RTX 3080 Noctua Edition sport the same custom brown motif, while the blades sit just 0.5mm away from the outer frame via Noctua’s Sterrox liquid crystal polymer, reducing airflow leakage around the edge.
Specs-wise, the RTX 3080 in use here isn’t anything out of the ordinary. The card has 10GB GDDR6X, instead of 12GB that the later variant of the card uses, has 8704 CUDA cores, a gaming boost clock of 1785MHz, and an OC boost clock of 1815MHz. As always, the card also makes use of the PCIe 4.0 interface, has two HDMI 2.1 ports, and three DisplayPort 1.4a ports.
The ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition is already available in Malaysia and retails at an SRP of RM5219. The card also comes with a 3+1 year extended warranty.
