Garmin’s military-ready Tactix series of smartwatches today welcomes a new entry with the recent launch of the Tactix 7 Pro. Like its fellow family members, the latest model is touted to be “an ideal premium timepiece for everyday use while pulling double duty as a must-have for any tactical kit.”
The new Garmin Tactix 7 Pro features a rugged body that is built to a military standard (MIL-STD- 810) and is water rated to 10 ATM. It also comes with black DLC coated titanium bezel and rear cover, as well as black tactical nylon QuickFit bands. The smartwatch’s full-colour display measures at 1.4-inches, equipped with a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and features a mode that makes it compatible with night-vision goggles. The Tactix 7 Pro also comes with a dual touch screen and button interface, which is a first for the series.
Besides that, the new timepiece comes with a slew of features, including dual-position GPS formatting, projected waypoints, Jumpmaster, Direct-To Navigation, numerous workout trackers, health sensors and tracking capabilities, as well as the series’ signature stealth mode and “kill switch” feature which erases all user data should the need arise. It is also the first Tactix smartwatch to be equipped with a built-in Garmin Fenix 7X-like multi-LED flashlight that can project light in either white or green.
On top of featuring the ability to charge via cable, the Tactix 7 Pro comes with solar charging capability as well. Garmin claims the watch can last up to four weeks in smartwatch mode, and up to 37 days when relying on its solar-based charging.
The new Garmin Tactix 7 Pro is only offered in a matte black colour scheme and is available now for a very hefty price of RM6,350. Those interested may purchase the smartwatch via the brand’s official online stores on Lazada, Shopee and AECO e-store, as well as all Garmin flagship stores and authorised retailers nationwide.
