Razer officially announced its new Blade 15 gaming laptop series, refreshed with Intel’s latest 12th generation Alder Lake Mobile CPUs and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series Ti mobile graphics. Additionally, the new Blade 15 lineup also comes equipped with a new OLED display, instead of the usual LCD panel.
Breaking down the specs further, the new Blade 15 is equipped with up to an Intel Core i9-12900H, which is a 14-cores (six P-Cores, eight E-Cores), 20-threads mobile CPU, capable of reaching boost clocks of up to 5GHz. As for the GPU, the Blade 15 comes in three iterations: an RTX 3060, RTX 3070 Ti, and RTX 3080 Ti.
Moving along, other specifications include up to 32GB DDR5-4800MHz RAM (16GB being the baseline), and a 1TB NVMe Gen4 SSD, with an additional M.2 slot, should the user feel the need to expand its capacity. Then there’s the 15.6-inch display, which has a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a fixed refresh rate of 240Hz, and more importantly, an OLED panel with up to 400 nits of brightness and a 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy.
Because it is an Intel laptop, that also means that the ports on the Blade 15 are up-to-date, featuring support for Thunderbolt 4, USB-C 3.2 Gen2, and USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports. Keeping the laptop powered is a large 80WHr battery.
Beyond that, the Blade 15 gets the usual cosmetic touches from its parent company, including a per-key RGB LED backlit keyboard, powered by Chroma, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity options.
At the time of writing, Razer’s Asia Pacific page isn’t listed, but the brand did state in its press release that the SKU with the Core i9-12900H and RTX 3070 Ti will be arriving on our shores sometime in Q4 2022 and will retail for US$3499 (~RM15215).
