When 5G service was first made available to the public last December, you could only access it in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and selected locations within Kuala Lumpur. Now, the 5G coverage has been expanded further to cover selected areas within Johor and Selangor as well.
This was revealed by Yes who is still the only telco that has offered 5G service to consumers. As noted through a post on its Facebook page, here is the list of the new 5G areas:

At the moment, Yes is offering 5G through two plans including the Prepaid FT5G plan which costs RM30 while the Postpaid FT5G plan is priced at RM49. Users can utilise 5G through these plans without any speed or data cap until further notice although they do come with unlimited 7Mbps and 100GB high-speed 4G data, respectively.
Digital Nasional Berhad has previously said that it aims to expand the national 5G footprint to around 40% of the populated areas in the country by the end of 2022. Subsequently, the coverage will be expanded further to 80% of the populated areas by 2024.
