To prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, Maybank will be supplying selected ATMs nationwide with mainly RM10 and RM50 notes. Nicknamed as Raya ATMs, the denominations are to specifically accommodate those who need the smaller bills to give away as Duit Raya.
These Raya ATMs will be made available at 70 branches across the country from 21 April until 4 May. However, only a few of the ATMs will dispense both notes while most will exclusively dispense either RM10 or RM50 bills.
So, make sure to check out Maybank’s list first before heading to the branch near you. Maybank also says that the Raya ATMs will be labelled to make them easier to be identified when you visit these branches.
Given the high acceptance of online banking and e-wallets among consumers these days in addition to the interoperability between services via DuitNow QR and DuitNow Transfer, you may want to consider giving Duit Raya electronically. For Maybank customers out there, you can always opt for the e-Duit Raya service through the MAE app.
