Microsoft has already announced that it is bringing its PC Game Pass to Malaysia, even if eligibility is limited to Xbox Insiders. But it looks like the company is expanding it to gamers who have played some of the company’s more recent games. For those who have, the company is giving new members a three-month free trial.
Specifically, if you’ve played Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires IV, or Halo Infinite, then you’ll be eligible for the free trial. The catch is that you’ll have to have played any of these before 28 February. Having done the Halo Infinite campaign review, I’ve checked my own eligibility for the PC Game Pass trial, and can confirm that it works for us in Malaysia. Though it’s worth mentioning that even if you’ve only played the free multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite, you’ll still be eligible.
Did you play Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, or Age of Empires IV on PC before 2/28?

Naturally, a few caveats have to be mentioned. One is that, as mentioned, this is only for new members of the subscription service. According to the FAQ section of the promo page, Microsoft says that if you’ve signed up for this before, even while it was using the old name of Xbox Game Pass for PC, then you won’t be eligible for the free trial. Once the three-month trial ends, you’ll also automatically be charged the standard subscription price. You’ll have to cancel your sub manually if you don’t want that.
You can find out more about the free three-month trial for PC Game Pass by heading to the promo page linked below. And if you’ve even dabbled in the free multiplayer component of Halo Infinite, maybe also claim your free trial while you’re at it.
