ASUS recently announced that the company has implemented a price cut on its GeForce RTX 30 Series graphics cards in Malaysia. It is the second major hardware company that has publicly announced such a move after ZOTAC.
Unlike its Hong Kong-based competitor though, ASUS did not reveal the complete list of the new pricing for every single GeForce RTX 30 Series card that it has released in Malaysia. Instead, the Taiwanese company decided to list down the new starting price for each series.
Naturally, the price cut depends on the series that you opted for. ASUS GeForce RTX 3050 cards received the smallest reduction of them all at just RM190 but it got significantly bigger from GeForce RTX 3060 onwards, ranging from RM700 to as high as RM2,300.
Here are what the differences looked like, based on the figures that have been provided to Lowyat.NET by ASUS Malaysia:
If you look at the differences alone, the price cut that ASUS has implemented is generally much higher than ZOTAC. When you directly compare both of them, some of the ASUS cards do have lower starting prices than ZOTAC but then again, let’s not forget that the Taiwanese company did not reveal the full price list as opposed to its Hong Kong counterparts.
In general, the price differences can be as low as RM1 and as high as RM201. For clarity, we have also compiled them into the table below:
While these price cuts might be great news for those who have been holding out to avoid paying the high price tag for a GeForce RTX 30 card, you still have to manage your expectations though. This is because the global chip shortage is still at large which means that GPU stocks remain scarce at the moment.
Nevertheless, if you’re still planning to get yourself one of these cards right now, we wish you all the best and happy hunting. You can check out ASUS Malaysia’s website for the full list of authorised online stores and physical retailers.
