Up until now, regardless of which COVID-19 vaccine shot you got, you’ve only got three options for boosters. They are Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac. But soon, there will be a fourth option, in the form of the CanSino Bio vaccine.
The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) has announced that the CanSino Bio vaccine has been approved for use as heterologous boosters. Those who are interested will be able to register for it via MySejahtera soon. No date as to when exactly this will be just yet.

That being said, the CanSino Bio booster will only be available for those who had the CanSino Bio or Sinovac shots as their primary vaccine. It will also have the same minimum of three months wait time after the primer dose.
The CanSino Bio vaccine was given conditional approval for emergency use back in the middle of last year. Its major draw was that it was a single-dose vaccine, alongside the shot by Johnson & Johnson. But as it is right now, regardless of which was your primary vaccine, a booster will still be required. This is especially for senior citizens, as well as those who received Sinovac as their primary vaccine.
