Not even a month after the Nord CE 2 5G made its global debut, OnePlus recently announced that it intends to launch the phone in Malaysia on 19 March. Today, the company decided to reveal the pricing for the new phone altogether.
For those who are not familiar with the new model, the Nord CE 2 is equipped with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The brain of the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor together with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS2.2-based internal storage.
The Nord CE 2 photography tool comes in the form of a 64MP f/1.79 main camera that is accompanied by an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. For selfies, the phone relies on a front camera with a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor and f/2.4 lens.
Completing its basic specifications is a dual-cell battery with a total capacity of 4500mAh. OnePlus has included a 65W SuperVOOC charger alongside the Nord CE 2 which allows the phone to regain its battery level from 1% to 65% in 15 minutes.
Back to the pricing, the Nord CE 2 5G will be heading to Malaysia with a price tag of RM1,499 and can be pre-ordered soon through OnePlus official Lazada and Shopee stores. Pre-order customers will be provided with OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z Bass Edition earbuds as a free gift although the pre-order date was somehow not mentioned by the company (UPDATE – 14 March, 12:55 PM: the pre-order is now opened).
