Microsoft Malaysia has announced that its latest flagship convertible, the Surface Laptop Studio, is now available locally via various authorised resellers and retailers nationwide. Dubbed as the tech giant’s most powerful Surface product ever, the new laptop is offered in three different configurations – all of which feature an 11th Gen Intel Core processor, among other high-end hardware and features.
First unveiled back in September of last year, the Laptop Studio is also the only Surface to feature the Dynamic Woven Hinge which allows it to be used in three different modes. There’s the familiar Laptop mode for a more traditional way of use, followed by the more unique Stage mode that is intended for gaming, video consumption and presentation. Lastly, you may transition it further into the Studio mode – basically its tablet form, which is ideal for using the integrated Surface Slim Pen 2 that is stored underneath the keyboard.
Specs-wise, the Surface Studio Laptop is equipped with the aforementioned 11th Gen Intel processor up to Core i7, with a choice of either Intel Iris Xe Graphics or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti for graphics acceleration. Memory configurations, meanwhile, are offered at up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage via SSD. It also features a 14.4-inch PixelSense Flow touch display with a native resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. Besides that, there’s also the onboard quad Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos, two USB 4.0 with Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 58WHr battery that is claimed to last up to 19 hours of usage.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop is available now with a recommended retail price of RM 7,399 for the Core i5/16GB/256GB SSD configuration, and RM 9,399 for the Core i7/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti/16GB/512GB SSD version. It is worth noting that the top-of-the-line Core i7/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti/32GB/1TB SSD model is exclusively available at Harvey Norman Malaysia for RM 11,999.
