Hitman 3 for PC launched on Steam last week following a year of exclusivity on the Epic Games Store. But it wasn’t a smooth one, to say the least. Not only was it launched at full price, but its advertised VR mode was pretty messy, to say the least. Following the understandable backlash, the devs at IO Interactive are offering some freebies for those who own the game, as well as those who get it before 19 February.
For everyone who already owns Hitman 3 on Steam, or buy it before the aforementioned date, IO Interactive is offering to upgrade their games for free. If you have the basic edition then you’ll be given the Deluxe Edition upgrade. But if you bought the deluxe edition or the trilogy, then you’ll be upgraded to the Seven Deadly Sins Collection. Though it looks like if you already own the most expensive edition, then you’ve drawn the short straw.
Our recent launch on Steam didn’t go as planned. Here’s what we’re going to do:
All Steam players who bought @HITMAN 3 from launch day through to Feb 19 will be granted a free upgrade to either the Deluxe Edition or Seven Deadly Sins DLC.

IO Interactive says that this will be an automatic process. All you need to do to get your free upgrade is to launch your Steam copy of Hitman 3, and the new content will be there for you.
Though with all of that being said, if your main gripe with Hitman 3 on Steam is the price, it looks like your issue remains unresolved. The price remains at RM195 for the standard edition, and RM305 for the Deluxe Edition.
