Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been a successful video game, all things considered. Successful enough to warrant a sequel, even, from the look of things. A couple of video game industry insiders have shared that a reveal is likely to happen before E3, and maybe even on 4 May.
PCGamesN reports that Jeff Grubb has shared as much in his GrubbSnax podcast. It will happen “early this year”, or before E3, and possibly within May. Grubb then points out the possibility of 4 May, considering the meme of the date with Star Wars fandom. And if it doesn’t happen that early, then another possible window is between 26 and 29 May, when the Star Wars Celebration convention takes place.
More details have come via Star Wars Blog Bespin Bulletin, which previously reported the Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. The blog cites sources that claim that the Star Wars Celebration is a likely event when the sequel will be announced. The blog also mentions that the game will likely not be called Fallen Order 2. Instead, the Star Wars Jedi series’ name will be paired with a new subtitle.
Both insiders also say that the plan may be to release the Star Wars Jedi sequel at the end of this year. But with the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, the game may get delayed to early next year instead.
