Black Friday is next week, but PlayStation Asia has announced that its sale for the post Thanksgiving event starts today. And it ends on Cyber Monday, 29 November.
As is usually the case when PlayStation Asia announces a sale like this, this is a good time to pick up extra DualShock 4 controllers if yours have started showing their age. Which is a nice way of saying that their sticks have started drifting. Selected colour variants are getting a temporary RM60 discount, bringing the price down to RM179.
Of course, what is a sale by PlayStation Asia if the games themselves don’t get discounts. If you’re getting them from the PlayStation Store, then you can expect a wide range of titles to be discounted, going all the way up to 80%.
There are some surprisingly steep discounts for big name games too, like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey getting a 71% price cut. But generally, don’t expect the newer titles to be discounted by too much. And it’s a similar story for physical games, though only a few are noted to be discounted.
PS Plus subcription prices are getting a temporary 33% price cut too. So for the duration of the sale, a 12-month subscription costs RM106. This is probably one to pick up if your subscription is expiring soon, and you still want to be able to claim the free games every month for subscribers.
