Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction has gone through a number of changes to both name and release date. Now, Ubisoft has announced a new release date for the game, as well as details on what other bonuses you’ll get when you buy the game.
For one, the publisher has dropped the price of the game from its usual EUR59.99 to EUR39.99. Which translates to RM125 for the PC version on Ubisoft Connect. Crossplay will be a thing, which is always nice to see. But beyond that, you’ll also get two Buddy Pass tokens. This allows two friends to also play the game with you for up to 14 days. Crossplay works for this too, so you can, for example, play the game on PC, and let your friend try the game on PS4.
The biggest bonus of them all comes in if you also play Rainbow Six Siege. Owning both games automatically unlocks for Siege the 18 operators that are in Extraction.
The sudden surge of bonuses, and the drop in price, suggests that Ubisoft isn’t too happy with the current number of Rainbow Six Extraction pre-orders. These will no doubt make the game more enticing, especially for those who already play Siege. But it doesn’t change the fact that the game is, essentially, Left 4 Dead with a Rainbow Six skin. And there’s already another Left 4 Dead-esque game fresh in the market called Back 4 Blood. But at any rate, Rainbow Six Extraction will be available on 20 January 2022.
